Job Title: New Business Development Officer
Location: Hybrid
Hours: 12-month FTC, full time hours
Salary: £38,000 plus car allowance at £5,800
**You will need to have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business as you will be required to travel to meetings, marketing events in other locations, with occasional overnight stays**
About the role
We are the UK’s largest provider of older persons housing and care, operating across 1,700 locations, with over 10,000 colleagues and a turnover of £550m. It’s not just impressive, it’s making a difference.
The purpose of this role it to support the Head of New Business and Land Managers to secure sites and planning permissions including report writing, bid writing and presentations
You will be managing the ‘Key Facts’ process that looks at the scheme to be handed over into construction and commissioning and makes sure the relevant and right information is available and the process is followed
You will ensure files on SharePoint or other shared files are up to date and accessible to others
You will lead on developing promotional events promote Anchor Hanover
You will support all marketing activity for new business which includes social media presence, marketing events, and developing promotional material for events
You will be liaising with external parties to promote our growth plan and keeping them up to date on site finding, progress, results
Managing the internal and external social media profile for new developments to promote our #lovelaterliving wider
Using bespoke and off the shelf software that supports our growth ambition and leading on market testing and monitoring of these packages
Fielding land enquiries to appropriate colleagues
Support the wider marketing of our ambitions to external stakeholders including agents, developers, local authorities etc
About you
You will:
- Have strong organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead
- Be willing to work flexibly to meet business needs and undertake regular travel where necessary.
- Be able to work on own initiative, being resourceful, achieving deadlines.
- Be resilient and able to work well under pressure
- Manage time effectively and work within agreed timeframes
- Be able to identify priorities and unresolved issues and items where it is appropriate to escalate to senior development team
- Need the ability to project plan and identify interrelationships across complex projects, within agreed project management and governance structures.
- Need the ability to identify issues which have arisen or may arise in the future and to resolve in collaboration with others
- Be able to manage complex or difficult situations with sensitivity and objectivity, seeking support from senior development leadership team where appropriate
- Be able to challenge constructively at all levels to ensure the best outcome for the customer
- Carefully seeks and considers advice from appropriate teams across the organisation and externally
- Be able to make sound judgements, to give advice to others and be accountable for that advice, within relevant authority level, seeking support where necessary.
- Be proactive and independent, capable of making decisions quickly if required
- Liaise with the development and finance teams and as the need arises
