About the role
You will be responsible for the tax compliance of Anchor Hanover and the strategy, policy and planning for Anchor Hanover Group and its subsidiary companies. You will be a point of contact for HMRC and external Tax Advisors and have full oversight and development of the Tax assistants within the team. You will be working closely with our CFO to ensure an effective tax framework across AHG that keeps apace with the business’s growth, activities and ambitions whilst providing appropriate and timely information to the CFO to support AHG’s tax framework
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent through relevant training and/or experience. You should possess the relevant professional qualification – CTA or equivalent – and be committed to continued professional development You will have experience of working within a corporate, commercial environment and be familiar with the tax arrangements and treatments applicable to a not-for-profit organisation. You will be a strong communicator (oral, written and presentation skills), with an approachable style, that inspires confidence. You will be able to manage complex situations with sensitivity and objectivity and have the ability to make sound judgements, to give advice to others and be accountable for that advice, without creating undue bureaucracy.
