We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with dementia. This role is vital in supporting individuals to live with dignity, comfort, and joy in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
• Assist residents with meals, hydration, and nutritional needs
• Support emotional and social wellbeing through meaningful engagement and activities
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or mental health
• Maintain accurate records of care delivered and observations
• Work collaboratively with nurses, families, and other professionals
• Promote independence and respect residents’ choices and preferences
• Uphold safeguarding, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Genuine passion for caring for people with dementia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to challenging behaviours
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Willingness to undertake training and continuous development
