35 - 42 hours per week. Long or short days, including work on every other weekend.

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Care Assistant to join our team in a specialist dementia care home. This role is vital in supporting residents with dementia to live with dignity, comfort, and joy. You’ll be part of a compassionate team that values person-centred care and strives to make every day meaningful for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
  • Assist with daily activities and routines tailored to individual needs and preferences
  • Support residents during mealtimes, ensuring nutritional needs are met
  • Monitor and report changes in physical or emotional health to senior staff
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided
  • Promote independence and respect residents’ choices and dignity
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
  • Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • Genuine passion for caring for people with dementia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to challenging situations
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in care (especially dementia care) is desirable but not essential
