Housekeeper (Bank)

We are looking for a reliable, compassionate Bank Housekeeper to join our dementia care home team. As part of our bank (as‑needed) staff, you will provide essential support to ensure our residents live in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. This role is ideal for someone who values meaningful work, enjoys creating a homely atmosphere, and can adapt to the changing needs of a care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard
• Follow infection‑control and health‑and‑safety procedures
• Manage laundry, including washing, drying, and returning items
• Work respectfully around residents and support a calm, homely atmosphere
• Communicate effectively with the care team and report any concern

What We’re Looking For:

• Housekeeping or cleaning experience
• Kindness, patience, and an understanding of dementia (or willingness to learn)
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to cover shifts as needed

Simon Marks Court in Lower Wortley, Leeds is home to well trained and helpful staff with rooms for up to 40 residents.
