We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our friendly team at Tolson Grange Care Home in Dalton.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Home Manager or Deputy Manager, you will help maintain a clean, safe and pleasant environment throughout the home.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring residents’ bedrooms and all communal areas are cleaned to a high standard
  • Using cleaning products safely and effectively, following manufacturer guidance and health & safety procedures
  • Adhering to infection control and COSHH regulations at all times
  • Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Supporting the comfort, dignity and wellbeing of residents through excellent housekeeping standards

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • Customer Service NVQ Level 2 (or willingness to work towards)
  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning products and equipment (e.g. carpet cleaners)
  • Understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection in a care setting
  • Awareness of workplace health & safety, including COSHH

Required Skills:

  • Well organised with good time management skills
  • Friendly, caring and empathetic approach
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise tasks around residents’ needs
