We are looking for an experienced Technical Services Lead to strengthen our approach to damp, mould, condensation (DMC), disrepair and HHSRS compliance across our national housing and care portfolio. This is a senior, highimpact role focused on resident safety, regulatory assurance and service improvement. 

You’ll lead complex inspections, diagnose building defects, specify and oversee remedial works, and ensure full compliance with Awaab’s Law, the Building Safety Act and HHSRS. You’ll manage highrisk cases, support legal disrepair processes and champion preventative, datadriven improvements that protect residents and enhance the quality of our homes. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Leading complex technical inspections, diagnosing building defects and specifying remedial works. 
  • Ensuring full compliance with Awaab’s Law, the Building Safety Act, HHSRS and wider regulatory requirements. 
  • Managing highrisk and complex DMC and disrepair cases, including liaison with legal teams. 
  • Overseeing quality assurance and technical standards across damp, mould and disrepair activity. 
  • Using asset data and trend analysis to drive preventative action and longterm improvements. 
  • Working closely with Property Services, Housing & Care operations, contractors and specialist consultants. 
  • Providing expert technical advice and guidance to colleagues across the organisation. 
  • Supporting service improvement, innovation and valueformoney initiatives across the property portfolio. 

What you’ll bring 

  • A degree qualification in a quantity surveying related discipline or appropriate relevant experience (essential) 
  • MRICS/MCOIB status (desirable) 
  • Strong building pathology expertise, particularly in damp, mould, condensation and structural defects. 
  • Experience delivering compliance and technical assurance in social housing. 
  • Confidence managing highrisk, complex or sensitive cases. 
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong residentfocused approach. 
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends and drive service improvements. 
  • Full UK driving licence.
