Location: 
Remote working covering west of London and north west London (including Chelsea, Slough, Watford and Harrow)
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Contracted Hours: 37.5 per week

As a Property Services Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in keeping our homes safe, secure and well-maintained so residents can continue living independently. Managing a portfolio of properties, you’ll balance inspections, compliance and repairs delivery to ensure our homes meet the highest standards.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver high-quality responsive repairs across a defined region, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Carry out site visits, pre- and post-inspections, and quality checks to ensure works meet required standards.
  • Manage contractors to deliver repairs, void works, adaptations, and minor planned works effectively.
  • Oversee complex repairs, variations, and orders, ensuring cost control and timely delivery.
  • Monitor and manage WIP levels, ensuring performance targets and service levels are achieved.
  • Identify and resolve damp, mould and condensation (DMC) issues in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Support resolution of complaints, ensuring learning drives service improvement.
  • Provide technical support for incidents including fires and Serious Untoward Incidents (SUIs).
  • Ensure compliance with Building Safety Regulations, fire safety standards and HHSRS.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, contractors and housing colleagues to maintain safe, high-quality homes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of building pathology within a housing environment.
  • Experience in responsive repairs, voids, planned works and contractor management.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation, Building Safety Regulations and fire safety.
  • Ability to manage WIP, performance data and service delivery effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills across complex repair issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage residents and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
  • HNC/HND equivalent experience in building/construction (essential).
  • Degree or Working towards MRICS or MCIOB (desirable).
  • Able to complete a standard DBS check
