Property Surveyor
Location: Remote working (Covering sites in Dorset and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week

Role Overview
You’ll ensure our homes are safe, compliant and well-maintained. As a Property/Building Surveyor in housing, you’ll manage a regional portfolio, leading inspections, repairs delivery and contractor performance to support residents to live independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver responsive repairs and minor works safely, on time and within budget
- Carry out site visits, pre- and post-inspections, and quality checks to ensure compliance
- Manage contractors, variations and complex repairs across multiple locations
- Monitor and control WIP, SLAs and KPIs to improve performance and reduce backlog
- Diagnose defects and deliver practical, cost-effective repair solutions
- Ensure compliance with Building Safety Regulations, fire safety and HHSRS
- Resolve damp, mould and condensation (DMC) issues in line with best practice
- Manage complaints effectively, using insight to improve services
- Provide technical support for incidents including fires and SUIs
- Work with residents and teams to maintain safe, high-quality homes
Requirements
- Experience in social housing, repairs, voids and contractor management
- Strong knowledge of building pathology and health and safety legislation
- Ability to manage WIP, data and multiple sites effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Degree (or equivalent) in building/construction (essential); MRICS/MCIOB (desirable)
