Senior Property Surveyor
Location: Remote with regular travel across the South West
Contract: 37.5 hours per week | Permanent
Salary: £57,000 per annum + £6,200 car allowance benefit
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Property Surveyor to lead the delivery of high quality property maintenance services across a diverse housing portfolio. This is a pivotal role where you’ll combine technical expertise, commercial awareness and people leadership to drive service excellence, regulatory compliance and outstanding customer outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Surveyors, creating a high performance culture focused on accountability, customer outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of regional property services delivery, ensuring repairs, voids, adaptations and compliance programmes are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Drive performance across multi million pound contracts, holding contractors to account while achieving value for money and quality outcomes.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues, serious incidents and housing emergencies.
- Use operational data and customer insight to identify trends, improve service performance and reduce repeat issues.
- Contribute to asset investment planning and help shape the future direction of property services.
- Build trusted relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues to influence decisions and achieve positive outcomes.
About You
You’ll already be operating in a senior surveying, maintenance or asset management role within social housing and have a proven track record of leading teams and delivering results in a complex property services environment.
You’ll bring:
- Extensive experience managing property maintenance, repairs, voids and compliance services.
- Strong technical expertise in building pathology, construction and property maintenance.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high performing teams.
- Experience managing contractor performance and multi million pound budgets.
- A strong understanding of Building Safety Regulations, HHSRS, fire safety legislation, Awaab’s Law and health and safety compliance.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent experience).
- MRICS or MCIOB status (or working towards) is desirable.
- A full UK driving licence.
