Anchor has an exciting opportunity for Accounts Assistants to join the Finance team in our Support Hub in Bradford
Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager, responsibilities will include:
To ensure that all purchase ledger, personal expenses and utility transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with all AHG policies, procedures and delegation of authority.
To ensure that month end processing is completed in accordance with the month end timetable.
To deal with telephone and email queries from suppliers and colleagues.
To review and regularly improve procedures.
To ensure all supplier statements are reconciled regularly.
Required knowledge & experience:
Experience of processing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices.
Knowledge of Purchase Ledger function
Knowledge of the requirements of internal controls and segregation of duties with regards to cash, receivables and payments.
Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures for purchase ledger function including the delegation of authority.
Experience of working in a team in a transaction processing environment.
Experience in performing reconciliations and clearing reconciling items.
Computerised financial systems, and spreadsheet analysis.
Good communication skills, and computer literacy.
Strong customer focus with a high standard of service.
A high degree of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve reconciliation issues.
Ability to critically analyse data and solve problems.
