About the role
You will work as part of the Purchase Ledger team providing an effective, stream-lined and customer focused service, ensuring that all purchase ledger, personal expenses and utility transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with all Anchor policies, procedures and the delegation of authority. You will ensure that all issues relating to the processing of purchase ledger transactions are correctly handled and cleared.
You will be responsible for ensuring all correctly approved transactions are accounted for and in a timely manner .You will work with others to develop and implement on-going improvements to the procurement, purchase ledger and payments processes. All payment transactions need to be correctly approved and accounted for in accordance with Anchor’s policies and procedures and the delegation of authority.
You will have experience of working in a team in a financial transaction processing environment and experience of computerised financial systems, and data analysis using spreadsheets. You will have an understanding of HMRC requirements, including VAT.
You will have GCSE’s Maths and English and you may be studying towards your AAT.
You will have good communication skills and computer literacy as well as a high attention to detail. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines and you will be able to critically analyse data and solve problems.
