About the role
You will be supporting the Head of Financial Planning Analysis with all aspects of partnering with Asset Management, Estates and Projects encompassing regular reporting and analysis.
You will have responsibility for the production of management accounts, KPIs & reporting, month end commentary, detailed budgeting and forecasting, monthly monitoring of grant and RCGF bids and receipts for small scale conversion projects and the annual impairment review for external audit. You will act as an advocate of financial policy and control across the business.
You will be working with stakeholders to provide financial analysis and reporting to enable strategic and operational decisions to be made and be the Finance lead on the development and implementation of new systems. You will be undertaking all aspects of accounting, reporting and commentary for areas of responsibility, including rolling cash flow and carrying out monthly forecasting as necessary. You will be employing recognised financial modelling techniques to provide robust analysis of the likely outcome of strategic initiatives.
You will be attending project and stakeholder meetings, presenting findings and ensuring all financial implications are recognised and considered.
You will be a qualified accountant with advanced Excel and IT skills and experience of being in a similar role for a large organisation. You will have experience of accounting for projects with the ability to work flexibly to meet multiple deadlines. This role is suited to someone who can work independently and is comfortable with ever changing priorities.
You will be able to easily build relationships with colleagues at all levels, often presenting complex financial models to non-accountants. You will be a confident and effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholder and internal customers.
You will have the ability to interpret large amounts of data and identify trends and likely outcomes and a good knowledge of the Homes England Capital Funding Guide.
