About the role
The standards and specifications co-ordinator owns the process, procedure and specifications framework across Property, working with teams in ensuring that these remain current and fit for purpose.
This role will combine property related compliance – regulatory & H&S, quality management, best practice, CDM, etc. and associated subject matter expertise. The role will also include defining and implementing improved standard practice throughout Anchor and contractor /supplier delivery processes. Through training and sharing of best practices and positive promotion of process & procedure, you will strive to maintain a programme of on-going excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
You must have knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act, Building Regulations, Workplace Regulations, Construction Design & Management Regulations together with British and European Standards
You will be familiar with creating plans for the continual maintenance and activities required to keep the process, procedure, specification and other appropriate documentation framework in review throughout the year; ensuring that all tasks are completed in-line with timescales and key Corporate service standards.
You will facilitate feedback sessions and work closely with other departments to innovate, lead and implement process improvements and drive business change, identifying innovative ways to reduce costs and further improve relationships, both internal and external.
You must coach, motivate and drive performance by promoting and training as necessary and to continuously monitor, review and report back progress against project plans to deliver on time and to budget.
For this role you will have knowledge of performance improvement in property and construction sector.
You will hold extensive knowledge of legislative, environmental and regulatory issues affecting the areas around, but not limited to, information governance, freedom of information, safeguarding, complaints handing and health and safety governance.
