About the role
You will manage, implement and develop Anchor Hanover’s life safety regimes around all designated compliance works streams, providing expertise and support in asset compliance issues to property delivery colleagues and all operational teams; covering in the absence of other team members. You will be required to provide ongoing review of performance and specifications with all contractors within the agreed contracts portfolio, ensuring a high standard of business performance output by recommending appropriate, effective and efficient systems, processes and solutions.
Other responsibilities include chairing regular service contract delivery meetings for each contract at predefined intervals, working positively and collaboratively to deliver the defined service contract programme within budget and within a given time frame, and in accordance with relevant legislation. Where necessary, you will challenge any aspect of the service contract programme, to ensure the correct level of delivery is maintained or exceeded.
You will actively control service contracts budgets and associated responsive repairs for allocated contracts and provide accurate budget information with regards to service costs and recommended renewals in line with budget timetable.
You will ensure that company operational activities are compliant with Anchor Hanover policy and statutory requirements on Health and Safety matters and all other relevant statutory regulations. You will monitor adherence and feedback to the service operation leads where any shortcomings in the performance of team members and working practices are identified.
You must hold a minimum HNC in Building or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and have an in depth knowledge of current legislation including: H&S at Work Act; Building Regulations; Planning Law; Landlord & Tenant Act; Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations; Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations; Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order; Electricity at Work Regulations; Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations; Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations; Workplace Regulations; Construction Design & Management Regulations; relevant British and European Standards.
You will have experience of delivery of maintenance or compliance delivery in a dispersed portfolio environment and knowledge of term or service contract management and effective budget management of a range of projects.
You will be an excellent negotiator and communicator with strong planning, administrative, time management and organisational skills. You will be able to adopt a flexible and co-operative approach and display a continuous improvement mind-set.
