About the role
You will be working across some of our retirement housing schemes, helping residents to live independently and promoting social activities on the estate and in the wider community. You will be visiting them to assess and meet their support needs and engaging with people from all backgrounds who live with us as well as many different statutory and voluntary organisations.
The focus will be to provide residents with practical support to ensure they are maximising all welfare benefits. You will encourage the integration of residents, the estate and its facilities in the wider community. The role will require working with external agencies and other bodies to ensure that residents receive the care and support services and advice they require.
This role will require working across various locations across Surrey and Hampshire.
You will have sound knowledge of welfare benefits and experience of a similar role. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintaining professional relationships. You will have clear communication skills both verbally and written, alongside sound problem-solving ability.
You will have basic IT skills and computer literacy and a Level 3 Personal Training or Leve 4 GP Referral is a desirable qualification.
