Over the next eight years we will be building 3200 new properties across 32 different sites.
About the role
This hands-on role will ensure the new developments are built to the agreed specification and quality in line with Anchor Hanover’s Design Standards and strategic development plan. You will ensure that quality is checked at pre-determined stages of the programme, in order to monitor agreed quality standards and progress on site. You will work alongside the Construction Delivery manager to ensure quality is checked at suitable points to maintain the programme and to intervene if necessary, flagging any potential risks to the relevant Construction Delivery Manager and / or Head of Development Delivery.
You will need to adhere to Anchor Hanover’ governance requirements in relation to decisions on new developments, making representation as appropriate.
You will be an ambassador for Anchor Hanover, representing and promoting the organisation confidently and knowledgeably at every opportunity and demonstrate interest in the Development Plan and the wider organisation.
You will have a track record of involvement in the technical aspects of new developments, including control of quality delivery and a wide understanding of the building industry, including knowledge of materials, trades, methods and legal requirements. You will be experienced in QA Procedures and have knowledge of the housing sector.
You will have the ability to identify issues which have arisen or may arise in the future and to resolve in collaboration with others and be able to manage complex or difficult situations with sensitivity and objectivity, seeking support from senior development team where appropriate. You will be able to make sound judgements, to give advice to others and be accountable for that advice, within relevant authority level, seeking support where necessary.
You will have the ability to work on own initiative, being resourceful, achieving deadlines. You will be resilient and able to work well under pressure and manages time effectively and works within agreed timeframes.
You will have a relevant professional qualification, technical, project and/or commercial management preferred. An NVQ level 4 building studies or construction management or a PRINCE2 Qualification would be advantageous.
